Lufthansa Plans to Move NW22 Frankfurt – Canada Service to Eurowings Discover

Air Canada in this week’s schedule update filed changes to its codeshare service between Canada and Germany, as Star Alliance partner Lufthansa intends to move Frankfurt – Toronto and Frankfurt – Vancouver service to Eurowings Discover in Northern winter 2022/23 season.

Service operated by Eurowings Discover is reflected on Air Canada website’s schedule listing (screenshot below) on its website. At time this post goes to press, Air Canada codeshare is not available for reservation on its website, but available in GDS channels such as Sabre and Amadeus, including the display of Eurowings Discover A330 seat map. Although Lufthansa Mainline service for Toronto and Vancouver (to/from Frankfurt) remains available for booking, it is expected to switch to Eurowings Discover soon.

Lufthansa on Thursday 29SEP22’s schedule update adjusted Frankfurt – Toronto and Frankfurt – Vancouver schedule for Northern winter 2022/23 season, reflecting updates listed above. Lufthansa codeshare flight number is now added.

Air Canada website schedule listing is not specifying actual operator by default, however GDS listing is displaying remark “operated by Eurowings Discover”.
