Aeromexico / Delta NS24 US – Mexico Service Reductions

Skyteam members Aeromexico last week gradually filed revised service between Mexico and the US for Northern summer 2024 season. Aeromexico's filing of service reduction reflects from recent tentative decision by the US Department of Transportation (DoT) not to approve the two's anti-trust immunity renewal.
Planned changes include the following.
Guadalajara – Detroit Last flight 31MAR24
Monterrey – Los Angeles Planned service resumption from 16MAY24 cancelled
Monterrey – New York JFK Planned service from 16MAY24 cancelled
Monterrey – Salt Lake City Last flight 31MAR24
AM's planned US service from MTY will be reduced from 5 to 2 routes, Atlanta and Detroit. The carrier last year announced following routes, which remains unavailable for reservation as of 04FEB24:
Leon/Guanajuato – Detroit Last served until March 2022
Mexico City – Detroit Last served until July 2019
Queretaro – Atlanta Last served until September 2019
Other frequency changes filed prior to last week’s decision:
Mexico City – Las Vegas 02APR24 – 19JUN24 Reduce from 2 to 1 daily
Mexico City – Miami
02APR24 – 19JUN24 Reduce from 4 to 3 daily
20JUN24 – 18AUG24 Reduce from 35 to 31 weekly
19AUG24 – 26OCT24 Reduce from 4 to 3 daily
Mexico City – Orlando eff 02APR24 Reduce from 4 to 3 daily
Separately, prior to US DoT's tentative decision, Delta filed selected frequency changes on following markets.
Atlanta – Cancun eff 09APR24 Reduce from previously filed 43 weekly to 36 (43 weekly previously filed until 05AUG24)
Los Angeles – Los Cabos eff 09APR24 Reduce from previously filed 2 daily to 1, 737-900ER operating (The 2nd daily previously filed until 05AUG24)
Delta's planned Atlanta – Tulum service from 28MAR24 remains unchanged. This route is scheduled once a day with 737-800.
