Air India Schedules Mumbai – Melbourne Launch in Dec 2023

Air India yesterday (31OCT23) announced service launch of Mumbai – Melbourne route, scheduled on nonstop basis with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The Star Alliance carrier will operate this route 3 times weekly from 15DEC23.

Air India previously offered direct service between the two cities in Northern winter 1980/81 season, with Boeing 747 operated Bombay – Perth – Melbourne – Sydney routing on weekly basis.
