Nauru Airlines late-Oct 2023 Kiritimati – Honolulu Charters

Air Kiribati today (09OCT23) announced one-time charter service on Kiritimati (Christmas Island) – Honolulu route, in partnership with Nauru Airlines. This comes after Nauru Airlines received approval from the US Department of Transpiration (DoT) on 27SEP23 to offer scheduled service to Guam (via Tarawa, Majuro and Pohnpei) and Honolulu (via Tarawa, Majuro and Kiritimati), as well as charter flight to the US.

Boeing 737-700 aircraft is scheduled to operate this route on 28OCT23 in both directions.

Nauru Airlines (Air Nauru) last regular served this route between May 1992 and May 1994, while Air Tungaru (later replaced by Air Kiribati) last served this route until mid-1994. Fiji Airways currently is the sole operator between Kiritimati (Christmas Island) and Honolulu, with 1 weekly flight on board Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
