WestJet during mid-day Tuesday (05SEP23) Central Time opened reservation for additional frequencies on Calgary – Los Angeles and Calgary – Ottawa route, reflecting the airline’s announcement on Friday 01SEP23.

Planned service increase to Ottawa, and the reversal of planned service reduction to Los Angeles, is the carrier’s response to Air Canada discontinuing 6 routes from Calgary, reported on AeroRoutes on 30/31AUG23. Based on schedule comparison in the second quarter of 2023, Air Canada has removed 11 routes from Calgary to date (effective 30OCT23).
