Air China London Service Changes From June 2023

Star Alliance member Air China from June 2023 intends to adjust service to London, announced through travel agent bulletin. The service will see changes with London Gatwick service, as the airline intends to operate service from Shanghai, instead of Beijing, returning to pre-pandemic operation.

Planned schedule as follows.

Beijing Capital – London Heathrow eff 03JUN23 Increase from 1 to 2 daily. 2nd daily CA855/856 replaces Beijing – London Gatwick service

As of 0600GMT 09MAY23, CA855/856 and CA847/848 appeared in reservation system. Air China also operates Chengdu Tianfu – London Heathrow route, currently scheduled 2 weekly, with 3rd weekly flight scheduled from 27MAY23.

Separately, Shenzhen Airlines’ Shenzhen – London Heathrow service will continue to see reduced operation between 31MAY23 and 28OCT23, where it will operate 5 weekly flights, instead of 7. The airline previously filed service reduction until 30MAY23.
