Air Canada today (20JUN22) announced service changes for Mumbai, when it resumes service in Northern winter 2022/23 season. Effective 29OCT22, the Star Alliance carrier will operate Toronto – London Heathrow – Mumbai route with 787-9 Dreamliner, instead of nonstop Toronto – Mumbai with 777-200LR aircraft.

AC previously served London Heathrow – Mumbai between January 1985 and January 1991, when it operated Toronto – London Heathrow – Mumbai – Singapore routing. In addition, AC previously operated service between UK and India on regular basis until May 1999 as London Heathrow – Delhi.
