Iran Air Plans Syria Service Resumption in NS22

Iran Air this month intends to resume service to Syria after 5 years hiatus. Based on schedule listing, it intends to resume Tehran Imam Khomeini – Damascus route on 08APR22 at earliest, although launch date remains uncertain, as schedule listing in OAG shows it would operate this route from 15MAR22. Filed schedule lists 2 weekly flights with Airbus A319 aircraft.

Currently Syrian carrier Cham Wings is the sole carrier operating this route, three times weekly with A320.
